Zhang Zhenke

Professor at the School of Geography and Marine Science of Nanjing University and a doctoral supervisor. Currently, he is the director of the Institute of African Studies at Nanjing University and a researcher at the Collaborative Innovation Center for South China Sea Studies, and his academic adjuncts include the vice president of the Asian-African Society of China and the secretary-general of the China Society for the Study of African Issues. His research interests include physical geography (global change), environmental management and African studies. Recently, he has devoted himself to the study of Africa's marine development strategy and African development. He has published more than 100 papers in journals and international conferences at home and abroad, edited Research on Fishery Resources and Development Strategies in Africa, edited Compendium of Materials on Economic Geography and Regional Development in Africa, edited a collection of African Development Studies, etc., and initiated and promoted the project of “Partnership for Research on Africa's Development”.
