Postponement of the Hopkins-Nanjing Center 35th Anniversary Celebrations

亲爱的海内外校友，

亲爱的各界朋友：

大家好！盛夏已过，金秋徐来，祈愿各位和家人身心均健。由于近期新冠疫情的影响，考虑到诸多不确定因素，经中美双方管理团队讨论，并经南京大学与约翰斯·霍普金斯大学同意我们决定将原定于2021年10月23-24日举办的南京大学-约翰斯·霍普金斯大学中美文化研究中心成立三十五周年庆典活动延期至2022年6月18-19日（周六周日）举行，以便更好地在南京和华盛顿为各位校友和嘉宾提供安全舒适的面对面交流环境。届时也欢迎各位校友拨冗参加6月17日（周五）在南京举办的2022年毕业典礼。具体活动安排，请关注中美中心官网和微信公众平台相关通知。本次庆典活动自公布以来，受到了中心校友和社会各界的广泛关注和支持，特此致谢！因活动延期给您带来的不便，我们深表歉意，感谢您的理解和支持！欢迎校友方便时回校园看看，与学弟学妹交流分享，并视察和指导中心各方面工作。期盼来年6月相聚，共襄盛举！

Dear Hopkins-Nanjing Community Members,

We hope you and your loved ones have been enjoying the summer months while staying safe and healthy. Due to the ongoing rise in covid case numbers and heightened restrictions on in-person gatherings in Nanjing and Washington, we have decided to postpone the October celebration for the Hopkins-Nanjing Center’s 35th anniversary to June 18-19, 2022.  The consensus among HNC leadership and in consultation with Johns Hopkins and Nanjing University was that moving the weekend events to June would allow safer, more comfortable in-person gatherings and meaningful, face-to-face interaction between community members.

In the coming weeks, we will provide opportunities for you to continue supporting and connecting with students, faculty, and one another.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience that this rescheduling may cause and our heartfelt gratitude for your continued engagement and support during this critical time. We look forward to welcoming you to celebrate the 35th Anniversary in June.
